Fusebox Web Site Design Contest
Things are really starting to happen within Team Fusebox and one of the main goals is to start off fresh with a new and improved website. New content, new everything. Including a new look.

Contest Rules and Dates
Contest Rules
To start the ball rolling, we need to come up with a cool design. We've looked at the other Cold Fusion Frameworks, CFEclise and Ruby on Rails Web Sites. Heck, we've even looked at Struts and Spring. Some of those sites have really cool ideas, like the ROR home page for example. But we are Fusebox, and even though we've been around the longest, we don't want to be known as the "oldie, moldie". We want something that is:
- Usable and Cool.
- Pops out at ya, but doesn’t burn your eyes.
- Easily translatable to a liquid HTML/CSS layout.
- Follows (but doesn't copy) ideas that are stated at Web Design From Scratch
Since for the most part, we are programmers and not designers, we need your help. So we are announcing the first ever Fusebox Website design contest. To enter, submit your designs to webdesigncontest@fusebox.org.
- Designs shall be in a graphical format (either jpg or png).
- Don't bother to do a CSS layout at this time, we are looking for design work, not actual sites.
- If you insist on doing a CSS layout, you may still only submit a screen shot.
- When submitting your designs, please name them in the following format firstnameLastName(a|b).(jpg|png).
Contest Dates
- Site submittals will close on March 8, 2007, 5pm EST. Submittals after this time will not be accepted.
- A winner will be announced on March 29, 2007.
Once the submittal process closes, the original submittals will be narrowed down to 5 and the members of Team Fusebox will choose the final winner. The winner will provide any specific graphics from the site in specified formats upon request from the Web Site team.
Contest Prizes
