Persona
The concept of a persona is to create one or more archetypal users of an intranet, extranet or website that represent the needs of larger groups of users. Thay are used as a reference guide when making decisions about the application. The persona represents the end user. It is usually a good idea to give them a name, a job (when appropriate) a family (or not), and any other aspects that you feel they should have. Your personas should resemble the average user or users of your application or application component.
Once you paint the picture of your persona, give them [goals]. You can do this by asking questions like:
- Why will they use this software?
- What are they ultimately trying to achieve?
